The listing of the Lake District fells is based on the Fell and Rock Climbing Club's (FRCC) 'The Lakeland Fells' published in 1996 (244 fells), A Wainwright's (AW) seven 'Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells' published between 1955 and 1966 (214 fells) and Wainwright's book eight 'The Outlying Fells of Lakeland' published in 1974 (104 fells). However additional fells have been added, expanding the list.
I have divided the Lakes into nine sections as shown by the map. Each fell has its 'own' page which includes some basic statistics and photos. Each of my walks also links back to the fells climbed.
Heights in metres are taken from the OS 1:25,000 maps where a spot height is given, failing that spot heights from the OS 1:50,000 maps are used and as a last resort ring contours are used from the OS 1:25,000 maps. Heights in feet are the Wainwright guide book values unless they are significantly different (greater than 7ft difference) from a converted metre value in which case the converted value is used. If the Wainwright top is no longer the highest point on the fell then details of both are given.
