Wythop Round

Fri 21 Mar 2008

Route: Brumston Bridge, Wythop Mill - Ling Fell - Burthwaite Heights - Broom Fell - Lord's Seat - Barf - Ladies Table - Lothwaite - Rivings - Sale Fell - Brumston Bridge

Distance: 8.50 miles

Ascent: 2,600ft

Time: 4 hours 45 minutes

With: David Hall

Notes:

Very windy throughout, overcast with a couple of hail showers and some sunny intervals.

On leaving Barf we tried to cut down through the forest plantation but hit new trees and windblown which stopped our progress, we ended having to climb back up and out of the forest about 100m from were we had started, this 'extra loop' is shown in purple on the route map!
