Route: Mirehouse, The Old Sawmill Tea Room - Ullock Pike - Long Side - Carl Side - Carlside Tarn - Skiddaw - Skiddaw Little Man - Latrigg car park (end of Gale Road) - Briar Rigg, Keswick

Distance: 8.50 miles

Ascent: 3,250ft

Time: 4 hours 50 minutes

With: Anne, David, Ann, Roger, Jo, John and Ian

Notes:

Bitterly cold wind, icy under foot, overcast.

Most of the group descended to White Stones from Carl Side but David and myself continued upwards onto Skiddaw.
