Wainwright's top of Rosthwaite fell is actually the top of the northern and lower part of the fell and is called Bessyboot.
Wainwright's Southern Fells guide book published in 1960 states Bessyboot's height as 1,807ft but the OS 1:25,000 map now records 540m (1,771ft)
